Story

We are a group of 15 young students from Bristol City Football Club, who are currently participating in the national citizenship scheme. We have chosen to support Bristol Young Carers as our nominated charity.

Bristol Young Carers are young people who care for a member of their family, many of these young people have massive responsibilities at such a young age, and very little opportunity to enjoy fun, social activities (a normal childhood).

Our aim is to raise sufficient funds to provide a day trip to London, to visit Harry Potter World. This is a chance for the young carers to have a day without the worry and responsibility of caring for a family member.

To reach our goal, we are organising a series of fundraising events, including: Three Legged Christmas charity walk, Sponsored head shave (of two of the Bristol City students) and bucket collections.

Our Three Legged Christmas Walk will take place Saturday 10th of December from 11.00am at Ashton Gate Stadium.

Our group will be walking in fancy dress as Santa's tied together with gifts to give out on the way.

The group will be stopping in various places to raise awareness and fundraise for the charity these include;

11.00am - Ashton Gate

Midday - Temple Meads

1.00pm - Cabot Circus

2.00pm - Hippodrome

3.00pm - SS Great Britain

4.00pm - Ashton Gate

During this walk at these stops the group will be completing 5 minute Mannequin challenge feel free to come and join in.

We welcome any financial support through donations and sponsorship. By helping us, you will be allowing Young Carers to be stress free for one day, and put a smile on their faces for many more.

Thank you for your time and generosity.
