I'm taking part in the Swimathon because I want to inspire my daughters, my family and friends to go swimming on a regular basis. I've learnt to swim as a child but I never attended any lessons. All I have been doing is just swimming and practising by myself. It is a great way to relax, to keep fit and to recharge our batteries.

I also want to encourage people to support these great charities: Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie. I know many people who sadly lost their battle against cancer which is why I believe that more research is essential to save more lives in the future. I also know a very special lady who was looked after by Marie Curie nurses in her final weeks. I would like to help these organisations to do their job even better.
