In November 2020, our beautiful baby boy Henry was born, what was supposed to be one of the happiest days of our life, was soon shattered with news that no parent wants to hear. We quickly found out that Henry had been born with a rare genetic condition which was a chromosome deletion called 1p36. Everything that I had dreamed of doing with my son had ended in a flash. We were told the condition had no cure and we would just need to wait and see how it unfolds. We were told Henry would be non-verbal, non mobile and was suffering from several heart defects. Several dark months passed before we stumbled upon Heel and Toe. Heel and Toe started working with Henry, Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy and conductive education. Henry started to make great progress with Heel and Toe. He was receiving therapies that we could not access on the NHS. The one big thing that they gave us was Hope, hope  that Henry may one day achieve things we never thought possible. The staff at Heel and Toe are truly amazing!
