UPDATE (26/11/10): First of all many thanks to all those who have donated and are continuing to donate to such a good cause. As some may have seen on this page, £715 has now been banked from cash collections made over the two days cycling. This really is a fantastic effort.
3000 tablets have been sent to Uganda in the last few days to prevent mothers from haemorrhaging to death. This illustrates how this money is already saving the lives of African mothers.
Thank you again.

Thank you for visiting the team page for the Welsh Assembly Government undergraduate placement charity event; Cycle to Africa. We are fundraising for Hope for Grace Kodindo, a charity which provides life-saving drugs to mothers in Sub Saharan Africa. Mothers are dying from not having access to drugs which are readily available in the West and cost just 15p. On average 3 doses of this save a mother's life, THAT'S 45p! Find out more at http://www.lifeforafricanmothers.org/.
We plan to cycle the equivalent distance between our office in Cathays Park, Cardiff and Africa on 22nd and 23rd of November 2010. We will be cycling in the foyer of CP2, Cardiff so if you can, come and watch. There will representatives from the charity for you to speak to and more information to look at. The First Minister of Wales and the Permanent Secretary to the Welsh Assembly Government will both be at hand, putting in a few miles for a good cause.
