We will do whatever it takes to help you live life as fully as you can
Story
On August 2nd I will be cycling in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100. I want to put my effort to good use and so I am doing the ride to raise as much as I can for Macmillan Cancer Support.
I admire the work they do so very much and their daily endeavours make such a difference to so many people and their families. I never expected to become one of those families.
My father Lewis was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2004. It came as a shock to the family that in January of this year a scan showed that he now has a different battle with cancer to deal with. He has both colon and liver cancer.
Surgery is not an option and so he started chemotherapy immediately. It’s too early to say how he is responding to the treatment but his positive approach to everything can only help. He has suffered no side effects at all to the chemotherapy and has even embraced the absence of wine in his diet!
Macmillan Cancer Support stepped in immediately ahead of the oncologist. The support and advice they provided have given him a confidence and reassurance that has been invaluable.
With my best wishes,Henry
