Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Year 6 have recently read the book 'A Long Walk for Water', in which issues around access to clean water in South Sudan are conveyed through the story of a young Sudanese boy names Salva Dut, one of the 'Lost Boys of South Sudan'. After living in refugee camps for several years, Salva was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to move to the United States. However, he soon learned that his father was suffering with disease due to water-borne parasites. This inspired Salva to set up the charity 'Water for South Sudan' to help his father and his country by bringing clean water to those in need. 'Water for South Sudan' provides access to clean running water by building wells and educated local citizens on key aspects of hygiene and sanitation.
