Lewis is having a mid-life crisis. Unfortunately, I have foolishly accepted his request to support him through a difficult time.
Specifically, the difficult time entails:
- paddling a canoe up Lake Windermere (10+miles ~2+ hours - but it would be faster to row it),
- cycling up Wrynose and Hardknott passes (steepest in England, allegedly, 25 miles, 3-ish hours, including punctures and walking the really steep bits), and
- staggering up Scafell (highest hill in England, another 10 miles, a further 3-4 hours).
So it would be splendid if something could be salvaged from this crisis. In particular, sponsorship. It goes towards something called the Wooden Spoon which funds projects for disadvantaged children in the UK. If I get the admin right, they can get something back from the tax man, and BP will kindly double anything that you give.
Many thanks indeed,
Mark
They did it last year too:

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Wooden Spoon will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
