Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove and South East Hampshire, caring for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age every year, both at the hospice and in families’ own homes.

Story

On Friday 28th September 2018, 6 employees at Herbert Scott will be taking part in an abseil 180ft down the iconic Bake House Tower at Arundel Castle to raise money for Chestnut Tree House, Herbert Scott’s charity of the year.

Chestnut Tree House is a children’s hospice covering East and West Sussex and South East Hampshire.  They care for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age with progressive life-shortening conditions.  It currently costs well over £3.5m each year to provide all the care services provided by Chestnut Tree House.  Families are never charged for their care and less than 7p in every pound is funded by the government, so they rely heavily on the generosity, help and support of the people of Sussex.
