Story

My sister and I are raising money for Yemen. You all were so generous during Ramadan, so we'd like to ask for your help again.

The state in Yemen is actually terrifying:

In 21 days, Yemen will run out of fuel. Hospitals will shut down, clean water won't be pumped.

In 97 days, Yemen will run out of wheat.

In 111 days, Yemen will run out rice.

This is being described as the worst humanitarian crisis in the past 100 years - they are fighting a pandemic, an epidemic, a famine and a war all at the same time.

We have to do our part to try and help, insha'Allah.

Thousands of lives destroyed, countless more at risk.

The current conflict began in 2015 and has caused utter devastation. Homes, schools, and businesses have all been destroyed and as a result, the country’s economy subsequently collapsed. To date, over 9,000 people have been killed and 50,000 injured. Yemen’s main entry point for food, fuel, and other essential supplies has also suffered problems. Those who are left have no choice but to fight for their lives every single day.

This is the world’s worst humanitarian crisis and it is happening now.

Millions of people are at risk of starvation, disease, and escalating violence. With the conflict worsening, it is likely that vital food and medical supplies will become even more scarce moving forward, despite the ongoing efforts from charities and the UN regarding a ceasefire.

Thousands of homes have been destroyed, leaving countless families without a solid roof over their heads. During the conflicts in 2014, more than 140,000 homes were damaged, with close to 15,000 either severely damaged or completely destroyed.
