We Provide & fund community defibrillators to Improve Cardiac Arrest survival

Story

We are excited to announce that Hexigone will be participating in the Ride Warwickshire 2023 event!

This event, hosted by the British Coatings Federation, is raising awareness for a great cause and we look forward to joining other cycling enthusiasts in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside and supporting the coatings industry.

The Hexigone Team will be raising awareness and money for The Community Heartbeat Trust (CHT) which is a charitable organization dedicated to aiding and empowering communities in the proper placement and management of defibrillators, with a focus on sustainability, resilience, and governance.

Did you know that death from Cardiac Arrest if untreated is about 97% of cases? With the correct and rapid treatment, survival to hospital can, in theory, be raised to around the 70% mark, but this assumes rapid action, good CPR (Chest compressions) and also the timely use of a defibrillator.

Join us in our mission to make life-saving defibrillators accessible to all communities.

About the charity

The Community Heartbeat Trust helps communities undertake defibrillator projects taking into account the needs for the right equipment, the right support, the right adherence to liabilities and governance, community awareness and training programmes, and help with the fund raising and long term support for these projects. As the leading community defibrillator charity in the UK, we have become recognised by ambulance services, councils, community groups and sports governing bodies as the 'gold standard', having set many of the standards now being adopted by other organisations. We live, breath and are hugely passionate about community defibrillation in all its forms, and seek always to offer a holistic and objective advice to communities. We believe a defibrillator is for LIFE and not just for Christmas, and these medical devices should be available to save lives. But they are just that, a medical device, and must be treated with respect. A good project is not about just a defibrillator in the community, but one that forms part of a resilient process, addressing needs, and fully backed by Governance. www.communityheartbeat.org.uk
