Heydays Team Challenge Miles for Minds in aid of Alzheimers Society

Rachel Lord is raising money for Alzheimer's Society

Heydays Team Challenge ‘Miles for Minds’ in aid of Alzheimer’s Society · 1 May 2021

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

A group of volunteers from our team of Heydays carers have come together to help raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society, as it is Dementia Action Week on 17-23 May.

We are hoping to raise money through our ‘Miles for Minds’
challenge, where participants each set themselves a challenge to complete a mileage target through whatever means they wish during the month of May.

Our participants and their challenges are:

Kelly Shaw - Run 50 miles in May.

Lyndsey Davies - Walk 50 miles.

Anne Davison - Walk 100 miles in May.

Laura Deakin - Walk 100 miles in May.

Danielle Ellis - Skate 40 miles in May.

Paula Kendall - Walk 75 miles in May.

Irene Segerberg - Walk 100 miles in May.

Rachel Lord - Run 40 miles in May.

Hayley Hill - Walk 50 miles in May.

We will be posting regular updates on our facebook page,  https://www.facebook.com/Heydayscare so that you can keep a track of our progress.

We have set a fundraising target of £500 and we'd be very grateful of your support for this wonderful cause.

On a daily basis our carers come into contact with clients who suffer from Alzheimer's Disease. This progressive disease has saddening consequences for the sufferer and their families, so we want to do our bit to help raise money to eventually beat the disease.

With all our thanks,

The Heydays team
