The trust aims to support educational causes that were dear to Hazel Scott Aiton, who had taken a gap year in a school in Namibia. It aims to give financial assistance to people embarking on voluntary work overseas and help poorer countries help themselves in the long term through supporting better education.

Story

"You never conquer a mountain. You stand on the summit a few moments, then the wind blows your footprints away."

Soon after we had decided on the name of Hazel's Footprints for the Trust it was suggested by some of Hazel's friends that we should, quite literally, follow in her footprints up Mount Kilimanjaro and retrace her ascent in 2003 as part of the Durham DUCK team when she raised over £6,000 for Children in Need and Otjikondo School, Namibia.
The off-line total shows the total raised so far by the team.

We want to raise funds for her trust which can be found at www.hazelsfootprints.org

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Hazel's Footprints Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now! Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Many thanks for your support.
