Walk for Wag at Kielder · 11 September 2021 ·
Walking for Wag enables elderly people to have friends with two and with four legs when previously many of them had no-one. Take our great friend Mr John Robson, pictured above cuddling a police puppy at 2018s year's Walk for Wag. After he lost his dog and his wife, he found himself staring at four walls, he told us: "At the beginning of the year I had nothing and now I have a wonderful relationship with these lovely friends and my life has completely changed. I do get lonely living on my own and I couldn't manage to have a dog of my own now. This is the best of both worlds. It's fantastic, like winning the Pools!" We lost John during 2020 and we miss him terribly but we were so lucky to have him in our lives and to introduce him to Visiting Wag Team, Sean and Alfie, who really changed his life. Walk for Wag 2021 will not be the same without him but we know hell be smiling down at us on the day.
