Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenges - Teens in Crisis

Yorkshire Three Peaks · 4 September 2021
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hickton Group are taking on a marathon of a challenge in walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks (Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent) on the 4th September, in aid of two magnificent charities that face their own challenges day in day out.
We have rallied up 24 members of staff from across the UK to come together to lace up their walking boots for this 24 mile challenge.
The charities we are supporting are EyUp, a Yorkshire charity that is part of the South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, and tic+ (teens in crisis), who are a Gloucestershire charity providing mental health support to teenagers.
This page is a Teens in Crisis support page.
About Teens in Crisis:
The TIC+ mission is to improve, preserve and promote good mental health and well-being among young people and their families. Making it easier for young people to access free mental health support underpins all our work. Our vision is that every young person in need has someone to talk to, regardless of whether their family can afford it. Last year more than 3,000 children and young people age 9-21 received counselling and support from one of our qualified counsellors. We offer a blend of counselling to suit each young person, including face-to-face, online, text and video counselling. Our counsellors listen, support and help young people deal with their issues. We also support parents and carers through our advice line and parent support groups.
Despite increasing and unprecedented demands for help, particularly following the COVID-19 pandemic, we are proud to say that we have never had to turn any young person away on the basis of cost. Since the pandemic, our waiting list has increased exponentially and is now at its highest number in our 27 year history.
