Hickton Group are taking on a marathon of a challenge in walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks (Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent) on the 4th September, in aid of two magnificent charities that face their own challenges day in day out.

We have rallied up 24 members of staff from across the UK to come together to lace up their walking boots for this 24 mile challenge.

The charities we are supporting are EyUp, a Yorkshire charity that is part of the South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, and tic+ (teens in crisis), who are a Gloucestershire charity providing mental health support to teenagers.

About EyUp!:

Set up in 2017, by South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, we support the work of the Trust; making a difference to the community, mental health, wellbeing and learning disability services across Barnsley, Wakefield, Calderdale & Kirklees.

EyUp! helps our amazing NHS staff to give even more, adding flourishes to services. It’s the sort of stuff our NHS can’t always afford – the bobby dazzler ideas that make a proper difference for those people in our services and local communities.

We don’t fund NHS services. Instead, we go above and beyond, the extra mile, with extra happiness. We can help with things for our hospital wards – like games or equipment. We can help visitors to our services, with things like play areas and comfy chairs. We can help lift people, boost recovery and create memories – from activity groups to service user trips or funding for community groups.

We’re super proud of our linked charities who are Creative Minds, Spirit in Mind and the Mental Health Museum. Together we’re pulling out all the stops. Please read our charity annual report 19/20.
