Salaams to you all!!!
I pray you are all well and THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCCCCCH for coming to my page; I feel like I'm always asking; in fact I am always asking because there is so much need! the fraction of what WE raise won't change the world, but it does change someone's world, and to be honest that is the key!!! We are so consumed in things and ownership, but we forget that our possessions and our wealth are a blessing, a test, and a loan from Allah. We are blessed to have what we have, but if we are not thankful and if we don't share it with the ummah, it indeed becomes a burden, on that day when nothing else can help us, we do not want this struggle on our hands either.
Just give in the way of Allah, it doesn't matter about the amount but give; don't be stingy; this life is too short, give in hope that it is accepted, give so you are the reason a smile of gratitude is made, give so that you are mentioned by the receiver by means of a dua! There are so many reasons to give, so don't limit yourself, be generous, we want Allah to be generous with us, then we need to be generous ourselves, in sha Allah; May Allah makes us the People of Generosity, Amin.
We are fundraising this winter to raise much needed funds to help provide some warmth to the people in Syria, Palestine, Pakistan, Kashmir and the UK. With sub-zero temperatures in some parts of the world, the winter is a dreaded season as for some it can mean death. Last year there were reports of 15 children dying in refugee camps because of the lack of warm clothing, heating and suitable shelter. This is a reality for many; with cold weather it naturally results in the increase of illness; people are much more vulnerable, though we cannot reach everyone we can strive to do something. This is where I am reaching out to you to donate. A winter pack is £50; this £50 translates into warm clothing, blankets; in addition to this the people of Pakistan will receive mattress and quilt; and for the people in Syria a stove with coal!
Allah tells us in the Quran in Surah Al-Baqarah verse 245:
"Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over? And it is Allah who withholds and grants abundance, and to Him you will be returned."
May we be the people who are able to share this goodly loan to the people most in need, and may it be a means of goodness and protection as mentioned in the Hadith, Amin.
Jazak'Allah khayran for your constant support, asking and giving are the most difficult things to do, however the rewards are beyond our imagination; may Allah always allow us to be people of ample gratitude and generosity, Amin.
Please keep the needy and vulnerable in your duas; non of us would ever expect to be in a state such as this, we can not imagine the emotional trauma this has on those suffering, may Allah make it easy upon them and us, Amin
P.s. If you work please consider donating your GiftAid to SKT Welfare, this allows us to claim 25pence from the government from every £1 you donate; we can then use this for admin and running costs, meaning all the money you donate benefits the cause you have intended, in sha Allah :)
