The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Story

I want to do this because im autistic and there are thousands of other people on the autistic spectrum like me.

I also want to make more people aware in the UK of what autism is and how affects autistic people (e.g: many autistic people don't like loud noises like me or strong lights/strobing lights (at holiday venues).

This is what your money will help to do to families and autistic people in the uk:

£2.24 is the cost of sending an information pack to a worried parent of a child with autism who needs help finding out about autism, the support they can give and where to look for further help.

£7.50 could allow someone with autism who feels isolated and frustrated to speak to a Helpline Adviser, who is specially trained to give advice and support.

£12 could pay for one of their befrienders to spend an hour with someone who would like to make friends but doesn't know how.

I will be doing this between 30th March 2020 to the 5th April 2020 during National Autism Awareness Week in the UK.
