Story
On April 15th 2020 one of my closest friends, a vibrant 46 year old mother of three, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia. Only a month before we had celebrated her son’s Barmitzvah and I was teaching her Barre classes. Over 7 months Odette battled through 5 rounds of chemotherapy in a Covid world. She is indebted to the Macmillan nurses who kept her going when she was in hospital and unable to see her family and friends due to the pandemic. She is now in remission and I want to celebrate with a Pilates fundraiser for the Macmillan nurses who are quite literally angels. Thank you on behalf of Odette and myself for supporting this and you can read more of my story on my latest blog ‘A Personal Story’ on my website www.highgatepilates.co.uk
