As many of you know back in May we received the heart-breaking news that our good friend and co-worker Adam Grant sadly and suddenly passed away.

We at Highland Industrial Supplies lost a family member when Adam passed. He was a colleague, a friend and some would of classified him as a brother. He was a great laugh, a jack the lad who made all of us smile and was genuinely just a wonderful young man.   

After some time passed we all wanted to do something to raise money and donate it in honour of Adam. So a large group of us at H.I.S are doing something he’d be right up for no doubt! We’ll be taking part in Movember and doing our best to grow weird and wild moustaches with all money raised going to an incredible local charity, Mikeysline.

On October 31st we’ll all be starting with a clean shave and from then, we'll be carefully and lovingly cultivating our top lip toupee’s. Adam loved to have a laugh and he’d be the first to make fun of some of the horrendous efforts that will be growing under our face masks over the next month! If you’re worried that means we’ll be able to hide our moustache’s from your slaggings fear not, as photos of our efforts will be shared on our Facebook and on this page. So keep an eye out if you’re needing a wee laugh!

The wonderful women of H.I.S will also be doing their part! Whilst they will not be growing their own facial fur, they will be getting out of their seats and walking 5k a week, every week! 

We chose to raise the money for Mikeysline because as a company we want to play our part and help point those who need help in the right direction. Mikeysline offers accessible mental health support to anyone that needs it. Either by their textline service or their drop in centre, The Hive, on Academy Street in Inverness.
