Hike for Hunter · 3 October 2020

We are a family run rescue which relies solely on volunteers. We rehome and rehabilitate these dogs as Staffies are negatively perceived by the media. Because of this they are often difficult to rehome. We campaign against this stigma and find happy forever homes for these deserving dogs.

Story

'Hi, my name is Mason, I am 6 years old and I am trying to raise money to help fix Hunters legs, so he doesn't have to hurt any more! I am going to walk 18miles from Lulworth Cove to Swanage with my Mum and I really hope that lots of kind people will sponsor me.'

Hunter is just 5 years old and has been in a lot of pain for a long time with his legs, he was recently diagnosed with bilateral cruciate disease and arthritis which the vets think he has been suffering with for years.

Hunter has been with us for 4 months and in that time Mason has developed such an amazing bond with him, they truly are best friends and he is determined to raise some money for him.  We talked about different ways we could raise money and Mason quickly volunteered to walk '200 billion miles' 😂 As he's only 6 years old we've gone for a much more realistic yet challenging route, roughly 18 miles, from Lulworth to Swanage. All money raised will go directly to Staffie and Stray, such an amazing group of people that always go above and beyond for dogs ❤️
