I am Michael, 26 year old and a curious, adventurous and passionate Backpacker from the land of beer, sausages and sauerkraut. Since summer 2014 T1D has become part of my daily routine and my travels.

While I am fortunate enough to live my life with T1D the way I imagine it, I know that this reality isn't what some of us often like to call "normal".

There are many issues on our blue planet, many problems that we have to face in the 21st century and assuring that life saving medication like Insulin is provided to everybody in need of it is one of them. 

As a person living with T1D myself I feel a certain responsibilty and some kind of inner urge to partake in this mission the best and more importantly the way I can. This is why I decided to take you with me on my journey through New Zealand via Social Media.
