We give medical and livelihood assistance to help people with disabilities overseas

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We chose to raise money for CBM due to them being a charity local to Cambridge whose work, however, stretches far and wide to support disabled individuals in the world's poorest countries. CBM protects masses of people from life-altering blindness and has even restored sight to over 500,000 people over the last year through cataract surgery. They also help many poor and disadvantaged disabled children to attend school and earn valuable, priceless knowledge that they otherwise would never have gained without the support and aid of CBM.

We are a team of 14 students and over the next three days (8th-11th June) we will be doing several things in order to raise money.

We have one team that has set up a Pop-Up Charity Shop stall selling second-hand clothes.

We have a second team of musicians who will be busking at various places around Cambridge.

Our third team is of artists who will be found at Parker's Piece drawing customers for donations.

Our final team will be helping out neighbours and elderly people by offering assistance of services (such as car-washing) in exchange for donations to CBM.

For updates on our whereabouts throughout the 3-day period please check out our Instagram page @hillsforcbm for posts, livestreams, stories and a filter to use on your own stories!
