Conquering hills for HILS! (We can’t believe we signed up for this… please help)
On May 27th, 2023, we will be taking part in the London2Brighton Ultra Challenge , (a continuous 100km 24-hour walk-through day and night) to fundraise for HILS, a not-for-profit social enterprise that provides meals on wheels and other services to help over 13,000 older, disabled, and vulnerable people every year to stay living at home.
‘I can’t fault the service my dad receives from HILS. It’s incredible, everyone is so kind and helpful’.
‘My favourite thing is knowing I will get a lovely hot meal and pudding – the service has changed my life’.
‘I live 110 miles away and never have to worry that mum won’t have a meal’.
If you want to support this amazing organisation to continue helping people, then help us to go the extra (60) mile(s) to raise money!
These are just a few examples of what your donation could do:
- £75 – can help an older person in financial crisis receive a hot nutritious lunches and dinner delivered straight to their door, along with a friendly welfare check and chat, every day for a week
- £35 – can provide an older person with a daily pop-in visit by a HILS team member for a week, to help them feel safe and connected, knowing someone is coming to check on them
- £20 – can give someone extra help with their nutrition and an individual diet plan if they are losing weight, malnourished, or living with an illness
- £5 – can give a small gift to an older person living alone to help them feel cared for

Every donation is hugely appreciated, thank you for your generosity
