Nelson's Journey has been 'a part' of our Hilltop family for many years. The charity visit Hilltop many times throughout the year holding various Activity Days and Residential Weekends for children aged 6 -17 years. Well over 1000 children have benefited from therapeutic intervention at Hilltop where they have met others who have been through similar experiences, learning coping mechanisms to deal with their difficult emotions surrounding their bereavement and enjoying confidence building activities with the Hilltop Team.

This year to celebrate Nelson's Journeys 20th Anniversary we jumped at the chance to be part of the Twenty20 scheme. Hilltop have committed to raising a minimum of £1,000 towards a £20,000 total, which will fund a new Child Bereavement Support Worker. This vital role will enable the charity to reach out to over 100 children every year that are struggling to cope with the loss of a loved one. 

Always up for an adventure our awesome team are taking on the Three Peaks!! Their challenge will be to climb 3 Mountains in 3 days which will see them climbing  the 3 highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike), Wales (Snowdon). Ever true to the Hilltop Ethos this is a "Challenge by Choice" and a real team effort which will see staff from across all departments forming a support crew to transport our instructors, keep them fuelled with food and to pass round the plasters!
