Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with blood cancer. Founded in 1974, by growing our register of stem cell donors, conducting research and supporting patients, Anthony Nolan cures blood cancer and blood disorders. But we need to do more. Without you, there is no cure.

Story

Dave Finney a Bournville RFC stalwart and a great friend to many of us, sadly passed away from non-Hodgkin's lymphoma late last year.

For those that knew Dave, they will know that other than his passion for rugby and his family he was a keen cyclist, regularly competing in enduro mountain bike events. Despite undergoing chemotherapy he was still fitter than the large proportion of us and would regularly remind us of that when out cycling.

The charity were heavily involved in Dave's stem cell treatment which gave him the opportunity and hope for a lasting treatment. Sadly it was not to be,but he never lost sight of the help that this organisation gave him.

Although a small gesture, 'Hippos on Bikes' have arranged to undertake the 'Tour de Yorkshire' in memory of Dave and to help raise money for the Anthony Nolan trust.

Carl Stacey , Alistair Blacklaws ,Duncan Berry, Ritchie Brighton, Tim Lang, Minty McCall and John Gannon (with Darren Clegg driving their support van) are heading to Yorkshire to retrace parts of the 2014 Tour de France route over 3 days of cycling. Their route will involve tackling 5 out of the 10 toughest hills on the TDF route including Cote de Buttertubs and Cote de Grinton Moor.
