On Sunday 6th May 2012, I will be walking the 2012 Neolithic marathon, also known as "The Sarsen Trail". The Sarsen Trail follows a 26-mile route through some of Wiltshire’s most beautiful countryside, with stunning views across the Vale of Pewsey and the Avon Valley. The unique route links two of the UK's World Heritage sites - the ancient stone circle of Avebury and the world famous Stonehenge.

The route follows a mix of undulating grassland tracks and roads with variable surfaces.

I, along with some friends, will be walking the route which is estimated to take 8-9 hours.

Although the £28 registration money goes to Wiltshire Wildlife trust, I will personally be raising sponsorship money for 'Help for Heroes'; a particularly important charity to me.

Whether it's 10p, £10 or anything in between I really, really do appreciate every single penny donated to this amazing charity.
