We aim to find a cure for GBM brain tumours to stop GBM killing 5,000 adults per year

Story

Hi everyone, my name is Josh Ainscough.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

GSM (Glioblastoma Multiforme) is the most common and fatal brain tumour, killing 5000 people a year in the UK. There is currently no cure.

One of Heaton Mersey Cricket Club's legends, who happens to be my uncle, Andy Sawer, has been recently diagnosed with this tragic cancer.

This diagnosis shows that no matter how healthy you are throughout your lifetime, the unexpected can happen to anyone.

We want to raise money for Headcase as all proceeds go into research to find a cure for this cruel disease. Even at his time of desperation, Andy wanted us to raise money to help others that proceed him, to continue the fight to find a solution to this deadly disease. This is so that no future victims, or their families, will have to suffer.

Thank you for reading my story and please give generously.

Josh
