With the support of our 7,500 members and over 200 volunteers, we care for 60 Nature Reserves, work with others to restore nature to our rural and urban landscapes and inspire people of all ages to discover and take action to defend Herefordshire's wildlife.

Story

Would you be prepared to help us with our new 'Help Make This a Home for Ratty' project for Herefordshire Nature Trust.

This project is the start of our long term commitment to not only engage with the local community but to also investigate the re-introduction of water voles onto our popular Lugg Meadow reserve. Water vole population has declined by up to 98% in the UK and researching the feasibility of re-introduction onto our reserve would be a unique and worthwhile endeavour. The Lugg Meadows has already been identified as a suitable location for the creation of a new wetland habitat on an area of land known as Rickyard Pastures.

Will you help us to realise our vision?

We urgently need your help to raise money to fulfil our future plans and encourage responsible use of the Lugg Meadows. We have already made contact with some local people and plan to use our reserve as an educational resource for children. Please donate and enable us to carry out this wonderful opportunity.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor  Herefordshire Nature Trust .We will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.
