Running for Alzheimer's Society

London Marathon 2024 · 21 April 2024 ·
I am running in memory of my Grandma Pauline & my Auntie Eileen who both sadly passed away from Alzheimer's disease.
I don't wish for any family to have to go through the same process of grief that our family has gone through, especially when someone declines and is not what their former self was.
Grandma was such a special part of my childhood. She had an aura of positivity and smiles. Her journey with Alzheimer's was progressive and slowly sapped the person she used to be, a cruelty that she was taken from us so soon in life.
And Eileen was truly a special individual, so caring and pastoral to many in her life. A loving wife, mother and grandmother to a wonderful family, humble, and faithful in her life-time service to Jubilee Church in Bromley, and clearly had an impact on so many friends around her.
Having turned 30 in March 2024, I intend to start a long bucket list (for which the list is now slightly shorter thanks to the ballot) to enter a new decade with the intention of giving something back. Running for both Grandma & Eileen who have both inspired me in so many ways and will continue to inspire me as I put one foot in front of the other.
Please support me in whatever way you feel led. I will continue to keep this page updated with my training... just make sure I get to the start line on time and keep off the McDonalds.
