My name is Benjamin. I'm 11 years old and I'm from Solihull, in the West
Midlands.

I have a condition that means my heart doesn't work very well.

Doctors noticed the condition when I was only a few hours old. I couldn't walk until I was 3 ½, because my muscles were so weak.

I had to be fed through a tube for 9 years, and I had oxygen for 24 hours a day. 

I also had to have lots of big operations including open heart surgery.

I'm not very confident because the operations have left me with lots of scars and I also have a dip in my chest.  

To give me a break from lots of visits to the hospital and the doctors my mum applied for a place on Caudwell Children’s Destination Dreams holiday to Disney World, in Florida.

Every year the charity take 25 children like me, who have lots of complicated medical conditions, on a dream holiday to Disney World.

But my mum is worried that the charity might find it hard to raise all the money that they need for the holiday.

The families who go on the trip get really well looked after because the charity take a team of doctors to care for all the children.

They also take over 40 volunteers to help families around the theme parks. 

But this means it's very expensive to take everyone to Florida and the charity have to pay £12,000 for each family.

So all the families on the trip have decided to appeal to our local communities to make sure that the holiday happens. 

I'm really excited as I'm a massive Disney fan and I can't wait to see all the characters.

I spend a lot of time in hospital so this will be a real break from that and it will give my family the chance to create some happy memories, something we could always look back on.
