My name is Lily-Mai, I'm seven years old and I'm from Grays, in Essex. 

I was born with lots of medical conditions that have left me very poorly.

I need to use a wheelchair all the time and I have to visit the hospital a lot. 

In the last six months I've had to go to Great Ormond Street Hospital, in London, every month.

To give me a break from my hospital visits my mum and dad decided to apply for a place for me on Caudwell Children’s annual Destination Dreams holiday to Disney World, in Florida.

Caudwell Children is a national charity that provides
practical and emotional support to disabled children and their families.

The charity created Destination Dreams in 2007, to give 25
children, with life threatening conditions, the opportunity to experience a
‘Dream’ holiday to Disney World.

Mum and dad were really happy when we were offered a place on the trip. But mum says the race is now on for the charity to raise the money needed for the holiday.

All the children like me are really well looked after as the charity have loads of doctors and nurses with them on the trip.

Mum and dad say that gave them the confidence to apply for it. The charity also take along over 40 volunteers to help each family get around the theme parks.

Because of the costs of taking very poorly children to America mum says it costs the charity about £12,000 for each family.

That's why each family going on the trip have decided to help raise funds. 

I can't wait to go! I really love Disneyland and music, and the princesses of course.

To be able to go to Magic Kingdom, and the other theme
parks, will be a dream come true for me.

We don't go out much now because when we do people sometimes stare, and say horrible things.

Mum says to be able to relax with other families will be amazing.
