A little over a year ago Carla & Peter went for a routine scan and found out their unborn baby had some possibly life limiting defects ,after more tests and scans they found out their precious little Boy had  3 congenital heart defects ( a TGA, a VSD & a Coarctation of the Aorta). for this he would need life saving surgery within days of being born. While in his Mummy's tummy he was some what safe. Over the next few months i have never seen two people show such love & strength for each other and their beautiful family. On the 23rd of July at 15.02 Eoin James Robinson Lavery was born . The difficult part was now here instead of the normal first few days of cuddles and introductions the family were separated, Carla recovering at the Women's Hospital, Eoin at Birmingham Children's Hospital &  Peter spending his days between the two hospitals and home with their beautiful daughter Lily. The first few days was all about stabilizing Eoin and getting him settled. Then at 6 days old he underwent Open Heart Surgery to fix his little heart, and boy they did a good job. You just need to look at him now , none of the amazing memories we have made could of been possible without the amazing Team at BCH, from the Doctors & Nurses to the team who made us plenty of cups of tea! Nothing will ever repay you for what you did, but we can try to help in anyway we can!
