Diabetes UK is the charity leading the fight against the UK's devastating and fastest growing health crisis, working to create a world where diabetes can do no harm. It’s a fight that involves all of us – sharing knowledge and taking diabetes on together. Join us.

Story

In 2003 I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Whilst many believe Diabetes to be a somewhat "easy" disease, it has always been an uphill struggle for me. The older I get, the more aware I am of the complications associated with being a diabetic. Blindness, heart disease, loss of limbs...the list is endless. Often I find myself becoming angry and frustrated with the pressure it puts me under, so I decided to turn that anger in to something positive! Diabetes Uk is an amazing charity which is incredibly close to my heart. They work tirelessly to help fund crucial research that could see us with a diabetes free future. That is something worth fighting for! So myself and my fiancè Luke have decided to take on the Cotswold Way Challenge, a 25km walk through some stunning countryside to raise money for this wonderful cause. It would mean so much to me to be able to complete the walk having reached our target and know that I've made something good out of this disease. Your help would be hugely appreciated! :)
