Buy me a beer! No, don't -- donate that amount to my fundraiser instead!

I'm doing the Graig100 Bike Ride in aid of the Velindre Cancer Centre on 4 September. 

Rather than pounding my digits on a keyboard all day, I will be riding 108km through the Welsh hills -- and, um, Merthyr Tydfil -- with over 100 others.

My own family has been touched by cancer and I would like to raise money to support others who are living with it. I lost my step-dad to a terminal brain tumour a few years ago and it changed our family forever, but we were lucky enough to receive support from a number of organisations and initiatives so I know how valued the care of the Velindre Cancer Centre must be.

I will be blasting some Barry White as I cross the finish line and thinking of our Tom, who will surely not be far away!
