Motor Neurone Disease Is caused by a problem with cells in the brain and nerves called motor neurones. These cells gradually stop working over time causing the muscles to stop working. 

My wonderful best friend Megan had the horrible news that her Dad, Andrew, has just been diagnosed with this disease. This is something that is never expected or anything you can ever prepare for, but that doesn’t mean your life has to end there. 

Motor Neurone Disease Association is an incredible charity that gave so much help and hope to Megan and her family. They made clarity when things seemed like they would never be easy and they offered so much support to help, when the diagnosis came in. 

But most importantly, they taught us it’s not a life sentence, it doesn’t define when your life ends.
