Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

To all my Facebook friends and family,

The majority of you wont know this as this is not something that I would broadcast on a social media site, however, I need as much of your help as possible.

Just before christmas last year I sadly lost my mum who meant the absolute world to me.

My mum spent the last 11 days of her life cared for by the St Luke’s team in their hospice in Turnchapel Plymouth, I can not even begin to tell you how truly amazing the care she received there was and how much of a difference that made to not only my mum but to my family at such an unbelievably difficult time.

To show our gratitude and to help St Luke’s continue their exceptional work, my sister Chloe Rachel Reeves and I will be taking part in St Luke’s 11 day Malawi fundraising challenge in March 2020.

Not only will this trip make a big difference at home, raising vital funds for St Luke’s, we will also be making a big difference in the “warm heart of Africa”. After a demanding three-day climb up Mulanje mountain, we will be spending a large amount of time visiting local hospices, children’s HIV/AIDS centers and schools, using our skills and knowledge to help improve and support Malawi’s local communities. Ive included a link at the bottom of this post that provides more information on the work we will be doing on this challenge.

We each need to raise a minimum of £3000,00 in order to go.

Please please please could you sponsor us, with your help we will get there and make such a big difference!

Over the next year we will be doing various fundraising activities ranging from pub quiz nights in the salutation inn to midnight walks/ runs, hikes, charity balls, you name it!

As well as our just giving page, we will be placing St Luke’s hospice buckets in the Salutation inn and Barbican car repair garage in Looe. We do have some spare collection boxes so if there are any other businesses that would like to support this charity please let me know.

Please could you share this post to help us raise as much money as possible.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
