Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page, your support means so much to me.
Two years ago I shared a story about someone very close to me that had been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), in the short space of two years I have watched as this terrible illness has taken away their ability to; stand, walk and use their hands. Simple tasks such as having a drink or scratching an itch are now impossible without the help of a carer.
The sad and heartbreaking fact is that things won't get any better from here as there currently is no cure. The MNDA are the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland dedicated to improving care and support for people affected by MND, for this I am so grateful.
Whilst I am by no means the sporty type and I find physical challenges genuinely difficult, I have decided to use my legs for all those who simply cannot to raise money for this wonderful charity who continue to work tirelessly to find a cure and to help others who may one day be affected by this illness.
On Sunday 9th October I will be running 13.2 miles around the beautiful Royal Parks in London to raise funds for MND, anything you could spare to donate towards this specialist charity would mean the world to me any many others who are affected directly and indirectly by MND.
If you would like to find out more about MND, you can do so here: http://www.mndassociation.org/.
Thanks,
