The Yorkshire Three Peaks

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge · 18 May 2019
I’m Holly. I’m 17-years old and studying for my A-levels at Malton School, N. Yorkshire
I used to see 18-year old Jack Tyreman cycle every day from his home in Burythorpe to work in Malton, whilst I was sitting on the school bus. Very sadly, Jack was involved in a critical road accident last autumn near his home village. My school bus arrived just after the accident. I was sitting at the front and saw the Yorkshire AirAmbulance arrive to airlift Jack to Hull Royal Infirmary. Jack suffered extensive head injuries and is still in hospital, but his mum told me that Jack is now able to wave to his family.
Seeing this affected me very deeply and I decided soon afterwards that I wanted to help in some way. The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is a charity, which provides a vitally important rapid response service to our rural community. However, it is an expensive service to maintain. It costs in the region of £3,000 for a similar airlift.
So, I decided to raise as much money as possible for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, so that more lives can be saved. The Air Ambulance provides a vital service in our rural community. Ideally I’d like to raise £3,000, by undertaking the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge on May 18th together with my friend Megan and other friends and my mum, dad and younger 12-year old sister. The three Peaks ,Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside form this classic challenge walk. It is 24.5 miles long, totalling 5,000 feet of ascent and must be completed within 12 hours.
I would be so grateful if you could sponsor me for this challenge and help me meet my goal and help save lives .
Thank you
