I have decided to take part in the Great North Run half marathon which is further than I’ve ever run in my life before and being an non-runner for most of my life It’ll be a tough challenge (I once had to walk during a 100m race) but I’m doing it for an incredible cause The Children’s Heart Fund “CHUF”. CHUF is an amazing charity that does such important work supporting children undergoing treatment for heart conditions and their families, going through the toughest times of their lives. The funds they raise pay for equipment, facilities, aftercare, and research but further to that the charity provides holistic care to the children by providing services and facilities that allow Heart Heroes to develop their skills and mature as any healthy child normally would. Please support me by digging deep and donating as much or as little as you can afford for such an important cause. 

CHUF's mission is to make life better for children and young people who are born with or who develop heart conditions by providing lifelong support to them and their families. CHUF supports children and families who receive treatment at the Children’s Heart Unit based at the Freeman Hospital and the many other hospitals providing care for cardiac patients throughout the North of England.
