Story

The first charity we want to support is Nottingham Hospitals Charity. Last September we lost a very special friend to cancer; Clare. Clare was so brave throughout the harrowing treatment in the battle against this horrible disease. The team at the hospital were amazing in the support, care and kindness they showed not just to Clare but to her husband Adam and family as well. We want to make sure they can continue their amazing work.

The next charity is MNDA (motor neurone disease association). This is now the Stonegate Group company charity. I‘ve been so inspired by Kevin Sinfield, a hero of mine that played rugby league for Leeds Rhinos and GB. His friend Rob Burrow was diagnosed with MND in 2019, and Kevin has dedicated himself in recent years to running multiple marathons and other fund raising events. He has said that he won’t stop fund raising until a cure is found. We personally know several people who have died from this awful disease. I recently spoke to Kevin to hopefully link Stonegate’s fund raising efforts with his next planned events.

Finally, CHIPS is a children's charity that raises money for disabled children focused on providing them with independence through specialised powered wheelchairs. This charity was formed by senior members of the gaming industry, a sector I enjoyed working in earlier in my career. I’ve been incredibly impressed by their achievements, since starting in 1994 they have provided over 500 wheelchairs to youngsters making such a difference to their lives.
