Story

⭐️ 30th of August!! ⭐️

am going to be Swimming 1.5k 🏊‍♀️ Cycling 40km 🚴🏼 and Running 10k 🏃🏼‍♀️

Many of you know that the Queenscourt is a place close to me and my families heart. They enabled us to make some lovely memories with Uncle Jimmy before he passed away in August 2014.

I have chosen to do the triathlon for Queenscourt as they receive less than 1/5th  of their costs from the NHS and the rest of the money comes from charitable donations that help keep the hospice running. In previous years I have fundraised for Queenscourt with a sponsored goal score and the Star Trekk walks. This last 2 years have been difficult for hospices and charities like Queenscourt which gives me an even bigger drive to raise money for the Hospice.

Lots of planning and training has been going on over the past month to make sure the day runs smoothly and to make sure i am ready for it. The route I will be taking will start with the swim at Edge Hill University and the cycle route/run route ending at Queenscourt Hospice in Southport ⭐️

huge thank you to Barry at Jack Parker Cycles for sorting me out with a top quality bike and Edge hill for the use of their facilities and Andy Best for being an official sponsor.

I have set a target of £1500 to raise and a target time of around 3 hours 🤩

Needless to say, this is the biggest challenge I’ve set myself but I am so excited to do this and I’m so lucky to have the amazing support around me to keep me going.
