Story
Our lovely Sara is braving the shave in memory of her Nanny Porter who lost her fight to cancer when she was 75. Someone very close to us all at Holly Tree has also just lost their Granddaughter, who lost their fight to leukaemia just over a week ago, at the age of 5. We will refer to her as Princess (she always wanted to be a princess) to keep the families anonymity during this difficult time.
Macmillan have been amazing in supporting Sara's Nanny P and Grandfather when she was going through treatment and have also been amazing helping Princess and her family during her treatment and there after. Cancer effects one in two of us and we can't change that, but we can fundraise as much money as possible to support an amazing team of people, who support those dealing with cancer 24/7. Even if you can only donate £1 please do as it all adds up! Join us at Holly Tree Farm on Sunday 26th September from 10am, where you will be able to cut some or Sara's hair off before it is finally shaved!
Pub & Carvery and Greene King are proud to have supported Macmillan since 2012 and helped to raise over £8 million. The Covid pandemic however has led to a huge shortfall in income for Macmillan and at Pub & Carvery we are determined to do everything we can to help. We are fundraising throughout 2021 so that Macmillan can help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can and continue to provide physical, financial and emotional support
