At the beginning of 2019, I contracted bacterial meningitis which ultimately led to sepsis. 

I have been very lucky and although I still deal with the side effects of the disease every day, I continue to be able to work and ultimately enjoy life. Not everyone is so fortunate. 

It is so important to raise awareness of this deadly disease because without the fast action that night of my fiancé, and the brilliant NHS, my story could have been so much worse.
