Story

I’m taking on 60 Miles in September for Bliss, the UK’s leading charity for babies born premature or sick. 💙

This is a cause that means a huge amount to me personally, as we’ve experienced first-hand just how terrifying and overwhelming it can be when your baby arrives too soon.

Both of our children were born prematurely and both needed neonatal care. Our first was born at just 25 weeks and 4 days, and our youngest at 29 weeks and 6 days. Neither of them had the start to life we had imagined for them, and spending time in neonatal care is something I don’t think you can ever truly prepare yourself for.

We’ve experienced the fear, the uncertainty, the endless waiting for the next milestone, and the overwhelming relief when things finally start moving in the right direction. We’ve also seen just how amazing neonatal staff are and how much support families need during such a difficult time.

So this is really close to our hearts. ❤️

Every year, around 1 in 7 babies born in the UK are admitted to a neonatal unit, and Bliss is there to support babies and families through some of the toughest days they’ll ever face. They also campaign for better neonatal care and work to improve outcomes for premature and sick babies.

I’m hoping to walk/run those 60 miles throughout September and raise as much as I can to help Bliss continue the amazing work they do.

If you can spare anything at all, even £1, I’d be so incredibly grateful. Every donation really does make a difference.

Thank you so much for supporting me and this very special cause. 💙
