I'm always looking for the next challenge to help others who really need it and who better to support than Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria's children's hospice!

Eden Valley Hospice cares for patients, both adult and children, from the Cumbria and South West Scotland area with life-limiting illnesses including cancer, and other conditions such as motor neurone disease, muscular dystrophy and multiple sclerosis, heart failure, chronic lung diseases, renal failure and chronic neurological conditions.

Since opening in 1991, over 5,000 people have directly benefited from the care and support the Eden Valley Hospice is able to provide. The annual cost of providing the service they offer is now £2.7Million, about 25% of which is provided by the local NHS, leaving them the challenge of finding £1.95m a year to sustain the Hospice which relies in part on donations and fundraising by others.

The Hospice’s first ever Colour Run in Carlisle will bring a kaleidoscope of colour to Carlisle Racecourse as I complete the county’s brightest 5km run!
