I’ll be running the London Marathon on Sunday 2nd October this year to raise a bit of cash for Target Ovarian Cancer. I’ve done a couple of things that I’m most definitely not physically fit or mentally tough enough to do, but this might be the biggest one so far!

The physical fitness is going to take some work, but the mental toughness is something I’ll try and channel my inner Amy Goacher for. Amy was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and handled it with grace and dignity. She lost her life at the young age of 21, but her family have dedicated their lives to raising awareness and funds to support others who may be faced with a similar diagnosis, as part of Amy’s wishes. 

So here’s to all the daughters, sisters, Mums, aunties and friends who deal with this or support someone who does…and to the legend that is Amy Goacher xxx
