My sister Scarlett is 12 years old. She is diagnosed as having PANS. PANs causes inflammation in Scarletts brain and she has faced some horrendous symptoms throughout her childhood including, self harm, paranoia, extreme anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, extreme rage and emotional regression. She has lost the ability to write and learn and even at times speak. Unfortunately Scarlett is now unable to attend school or continue with her education.

PANS PANDAS UK have been a huge support to Scarlett and my family as we struggle to navigate the day to day as well as worry about what the future holds. Without this charity we don’t know where we would be.
