Hi, we’re Holly and Hayley 👋🏼

Friends of around five years but feels like a lifetime *in the best way* 🫶🏼

Bonded by a supportive, meme sharing, laugh-through-it-all friendship, a shared love of nature, and the fact we’re both Capricorns (aka our team name The Goats 🐐🐐)

We bring out the adventurous side in each other and havea shared passion for the outdoors – campervan trips, hiking, paddleboarding (often involving a paddleboard picnic) and saying yes to ideas that turn into great memories. A favourite was our trip to Lake Garda, complete with a via ferrata climb, jaw-dropping mountain views, endless car karaoke… and one of our best blooper reels to date. There’ll surely be another on the cards from this challenge… Lots of laughs guaranteed 😄

So when we spotted Race the Sun – Lake District, it felt like the perfect challenge.

It’s a full-day adventure of biking, hiking and paddling through one of the UK’s most beautiful landscapes, all while racing against daylight. We’re not quite triathlon people (Hayley is the water baby, Holly… less so 😅) but this felt like the next best thing. We’re excited to take it on together and are fairly certain there’ll be plenty of laughs along the way – even when it gets tough.

We’re taking this on in support of Action Medical Research, the children’s charity for this event, which funds vital research to help sick and disabled babies, children and young people.

Our goal is to raise £1,000, and every donation makes a real difference. If you’re able to support us, you’ll be backing a big day of teamwork, determination, laughter and very tired legs – all for a brilliant cause.
