Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Between 26th April 2020 (Original London Marathon Date) and 4th October 2020 (New confirmed date), Honister 92 Cycling Club have set their members a challenge as part of the London Marathon 2.6 Challenge (details below).

Our Challenge is to cycle as long as is required to obtain 2.6 MILLION
VERTICAL metres ascent, that’s 2,600,000m or 8,530,184ft vertically - imagine a point in the sky 2,600km up, that’s what we are aiming for!!!

That’s actually 294 Mt Everest’s….!!!!

We have approx.. 22weeks to collectively gain this altitude within the
club, we estimate that even cycling at 100ft per mile (which is tough!!) it
will take us approx.. 100,000 miles to achieve this amount of vertical
climbing.

Our target amount is £3000, but would love to achieve a greater figure if possible.

Many Thanks in advance
