Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. With your support we are well on our way to getting an Admiral Nurse for Honiton.
The fundraising does not stop here though as once in place our work will be to keep the post funded into the future.
We have been astounded by the range of fundraising initiatives members of our community have come up with. From concerts to tray bakes, duck races to triathlons we have seen it all this year which all goes to show how possible it is to have great fun whilst raising money for a great cause.
Currently Judith and her dog Midge are through 2018 aiming to walk 1500 miles and Judith is donating her sponsorship to out Honiton Admiral Nurse Campaign. Thank you Judith and we hope your feet remain blister free!

Dementia UK provides specialist dementia support for families through the Admiral Nurse service. When things get challenging or difficult for people with dementia and their families, Admiral Nurses work alongside them, giving the one-to-one support, expert guidance and practical solutions people need. The unique dementia expertise and experience an Admiral Nurse brings is a lifeline - it helps families to live more positively with dementia in the present, and to face the challenges of tomorrow with more confidence and less fear.
Honiton Dementia Action Alliance brings together groups and organisations from across our community that are committed to transforming the lives of people with dementia and their carers. Honiton DAA was named by the Alzheimer's Society "Dementia Friendly Rural Community of the Year" 2016/17 for the range and depth of their work.
"We have identified a clear need in Honiton for an Admiral Nurse and with one could help many individuals and families who currently soldier on with very little ongoing specialist support.
Honiton Dementia Action Alliance have teamed up with Dementia UK and our local newspaper the Midweek Herald to set up a campaign seeking to raise an initial £150K to bring a much needed Admiral Nurse to Honiton.
Thank you for helping us with our campaign where every donation or event arranged no matter what size is treated with equal respect and gratitude."
Heather Penwarden; Chairman Honiton Dementia Action Alliance
